Method of Application
-
Surface Prearation
- Surface should be clean and sound. Remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, laitance sealers, release agents curing compounds & paints.
- Exposed rebar should be cleaned and protected with Anti Corrosion treatment.
- The concrete should be pre saturated for 6 hours preferably with water before application.
- Mixing
CRM 100 is simply mixed with water to yield a stiff easily workable compound.
The quantity of water depends on the desired consistency but as a guide we recommend 16-17% by weight of CRM 100.
Mix with a paddle mixer or trowel for at least 3 minutes to ensure a homogeneous lump free material is achieved.
Do not remix the product after losing workability by the addition of more water.
- Priming Priming is not normally required. Surface to receive CRM 100 should be well saturated with water first.
- Application
- Mix and apply CRM 100 to the surface after Anticorrosion treatment if required.
- Apply the mixed paste/mortar with a steel trowel. It should be allowed to partly set before smoothing.
- If a very smooth finish is required; a small amount of water may be sprayed on to the surface prior to final smoothing.
- Curing
CRM 100 should be cured with clean water for at least 72 hours (3 days) by spraying twice a day.
-
Precautions
- Newly installed plaster should be protected from hot, dry winds and excessive ventilation.
- Do not apply if raining. Protect from rain for 48 hrs after application. Hard or lumpy material must not be used
- The plaster has to be allowed to dry out completely devoid of any moisture, before applying any kind of stucco finish, paint or wall paper.
- Storage
CRM-100 must be protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Store off the ground in a cool and dry place.
